The Houston Texans only finished 6-10 last year.  But, they made a lot of positive changes in the off-season to improve on the defensive side of the football.  They already have an outstanding offense, so if the defense makes strides, the Texans will be going to the playoffs in 2011.  With the neck injury to Peyton Manning, I think the time is right for the Texans to make their move in 2011.  I think that they are going to win the AFC South while winning at least 10 games in 2011.  So bet on the over.

The over/under for Houston Texans wins in 2010 is 8.5.  The wise guys in Vegas know that the Texans have won 8 or 9 games in each of the last three years so 8.5 seems like a perfect number.  The key to me will be if you think the Texans are going to improve on the 1-5 division record is had in 2009.  I think they are going to be better and if they can muster a 3-3 division record I think they will win 9-10 games in 2010.  I would make a small bet on the over with the Texans in 2010.  The Texans are also 28-1 to win the Super Bowl in 2010 and that also might be worth a very small bet.

I would definately bet the over with the Texans who are a team on the rise.  They do play in a tough division but don’t sell this improving young team short.  I think they will finish in third place in the AFC South ahead of the Titans as they will win more than half of their games for the first time in team history.

The Texans are improving every day and it will start to show on the scoreboard a little more often than it has the last few seasons.  Still, without a professional offensive line the Texans upside is capped at 7-8 wins this season.  Still, Coach Kubiak has his team going in the right direction so I think a small bet on the over is warranted here.
