The Texans just didn’t play too well last night and it showed on the scoreboard.  Matt Schaub completed 10 of 14 passes for 108 yards and a interception.  He also carried the ball 2 times for 10 yards (5.0 ypc).  But he got banged up in last night’s game and the Texans can’t afford to be without him.  Dan Orlovsky was next up for the Texans and he completed 7 of 11 passes for 74 yards with 1 interception.  Alex Brink finished up by completing 2 of 5 passes for 25 yards.  Steve Slaton led the way on the ground in this game with 27 yards on 12 carries (2.3 ypc) with 1 TD run.  Andre Johnson had 61 yards receiving (3 catches) and TE Owen Daniels had 49 yards (4 grabs) for the Texans.  The Texans finished up with 268 total yards in this game (61 rushing, 207 passing).

The Texans ran into a buzzsaw last Saturday Night in Houston.  Matt Schaub was effective completing 11 of 16 passes for 97 yards with 1 TD pass.  Dan Orlovsky was not as lucky as Schaub as he completed 11 of 17 passes for 136 yards with 1 TD pass and 1 interception.  He also lost a fumble.  Alex Brink finished up this game by completing 5 of 8 passes for 38 yards with 1 interception.  Steve Slaton led the way for the Texans on the ground in this game with 30 yards rushing on 6 carries (5.0 ypc).  WRs Glenn Martinez (45 yards) and Andre Johnson (38 yards) each caught 4 passes apiece in this game.  The Texans finished up with 325 total yards of offense in this game (70 rushing, 255 passing).

LBs DeMeco Ryans and Kevin Bentley led a poor defensive effort by the Texans with six tackles apiece in this game.  The Saints rolled up 420 total yards of offense in this game (173 rushing, 247 passing).  The Texans even played poorly on special teams allowing WR Rod Harper of the Saints to return a punt 79 yards for a TD.  The Texans have a lot to work on before the games start counting.

The Texans really stunk it up last Thursday Night against the Bucs.  Sage Rosenfels made a brief appearance and he completed 3 of 5 passes for 39 yards.  Shane Boyd had a so-so game completing 8 of 17 passes for 83 yards.  Rookie QB Alex Brink had a night to forget completing 4 of 11 passes for 15 yards with 1 interception.  Marcel Shipp led the Texans in rushing in this game with 21 yards rushing on 5 carries (4.2 ypc).  Darius Walker was busy with 9 carries but he could only muster 18 yards rushing (2.0 ypc).  TE Joel Dreessen was the leading receiver in this game for the Texans with 4 grabs for 42 yards (10.5 avg).    The Texans finished up with 58 yards rushing on 17 carries (3.4 ypc) and they also completed 15 of 33 passes for 137 yards.  The Texans only had the football for 20:55 in this game and that is downright pathetic.
