The Texans have signed 30-year old RB Derrick Ward to a 1-year deal.  Ward played in 14 games (1 start) for the Buccaneers last season and he carried the ball 114 times for 409 yards (3.6 ypc) with 1 TD run.  He also caught 20 passes for 150 yards (7.5 avg) with 2 TD grabs last year.  Ward has now played in 65 games (9 starts) in his six years in the NFL and he has carried the ball 456 times for 2,159 yards (4.7 ypc) with 6 TD runs.  Ward has also caught 89 passes for 726 yards (8.2 avg) with 3 TD grabs in his career.  I really like this signing for the Texans as Ward will be a good fit in their offense.
