The Houston Texans cut Kris Brown
The Texans have cut 33-year old kicker Kris Brown. Brown is the all-time leader in points scored in Texans’ history with 767. He played 8 years for the Texans playing in all 128 games in team history. He made 172 of 223 field goals (77.1%) and 251 of 253 extra points in his career with the Texans. 34-year old Neil Rackers beat him out for the starting kicker job. Rackers played in 14 games for the Cardinals last season and he made 16 of 17 field goals (94.1%) and 37 of 38 extra points good for 85 points. This is a good move for the Texans as Brown didn’t kick well at all for them last year.
