The Texans have signed 25-year old QB Dan Orlovsky to a 3-year, $9.15 million dollar contract to back up Matt Schaub.  Orlovsky will be replacing Sage Rosenfels who was recently traded to the Vikings.  He played in 10 games for the Lions last season and he completed 143 of 255 passes (56.1%) for 1,616 yards with 8 TD passes and 8 interceptions (72.6 QB Rating).  He also got his first carries of his NFL career rushing for 29 yards on 7 carries (4.1 ypc).  Orlovsky has now played in 12 games in his NFL career and he has completed 150 of 272 passes (55.1%) for 1,679 yards with 8 TD passes and 8 interceptions (71.3 QB Rating).  This was a risky move for the Texans as they better hope Orlovsky improves quickly as a QB with Matt Schaub being very injury prone.
