The Houston Texans got solid production out of the QB slot
The Houston Texans got a lot of production from their pair of QBs in 2008. 27-year old Matt Schaub was great when he was healthy. He played in 11 games (all starts) for the Texans last season and he completed 251 of 380 passes (66.1%) for 3,043 yards with 15 TD passes and 10 interceptions (92.7 QB Rating). He also carried the football 31 times for 68 yards (2.2 ypc) with 2 TD runs. Schaub has now played in 60 games (24 starts) in his NFL career and he has completed 527 of 830 passes (63.5%) for 6,317 yards with 30 TD passes and 25 interceptions (86.2 QB Rating). He also carried the ball 72 times for 243 yards (3.4 ypc) with 2 TD runs.
30-year old Sage Rosenfels was so-so this season when he was filling in for Schaub in 2008. He played in 6 games (5 starts) for the Texans last season and he completed 116 of 174 passes (66.7%) for 1,431 yards with 6 TD passes and 10 interceptions (79.5 QB Rating). He also carried the ball 11 times for 37 yards (3.4 ypc) last season. Rosenfels has now played in 32 games (12 starts) in his NFL career and he has completed 351 of 562 passes (62.5%) for 4,156 yards with 30 TD passes and 29 interceptions (81.2 QB Rating). He also carried the ball 45 times for 98 yards (2.2 ypc) with 1 TD run in his career.
