The Houston Texans sign Darius Walker and Patrick Pass
The Texans have decided to give Darius Walker a second chance after losing Chris Taylor for the season. But he will have to compete with Patrick Pass to get the job. Pass played in 3 games last season for the Patriots and he carried the ball 6 times for 21 yards (3.5 ypc) and he caught 2 passes for 24 yards (12.0 avg). Pass has been more of a fullback than a halfback but he also returns kicks which could give him an advantage on Walker. He has played 7 seasons in the NFL covering 78 games. In those games, Pass has carried the ball 128 times for 526 yards (4.1 ypc) with 3 TD runs and he has caught 66 passes for 570 yards (8.6 avg) with 1 TD grab. He also has returned 36 kickoffs for 745 yards (20.7 avg).

Darius is an outstanding athlete and will prove he is worth his salt. Excellent move Houston!! This intelligent young man is hungry to make his mark on the NFL.
They already have cut him once because they had 5 running backs they think are better than him. They wouldn’t have re-signed him if Chris Taylor didn’t get hurt. He should have stayed in school for his senior season at Notre Dame.
