The Houston Texans release QB David Carr
The Texans tried hard to trade David Carr but they couldn’t find any takers so they released him. Carr started all 16 games last season for the Texans and he completed 302 of 442 passes (68.3%) for 2,767 yards with 11 TD passes and 12 interceptions (QB Rating 82.1). He also carried the ball 53 times for 195 yards (3.7 ypc) with 2 TD runs. The Texans gave David Carr a fair shot to prove himself as he was the starting QB for five seasons. He played in 76 games (75 starts) and he completed 1,243 of 2,070 passes (60%) for 13,391 yards with 59 TD passes and 65 interceptions (75.5 QB Rating). He also carried the ball 268 times for 1,235 yards (4.6 ypc) with 8 TD runs. Look for Carr to get another chance to start with another team in 2007.
