The Texans have not used the TE in the passing offense in a long time until this season.  The tight ends caught 56 passes for 539 yards with 7 TD receptions.  Look for whoever the QB is next season to use the TE even more for the Texans.

Rookie Owen Daniels was a find for the Texans last season.  He played in 14 games (12 starts) and caught 34 passes for 352 yards (10.4 avg) with 5 TD catches.

Jeb Putzier was a little bit of a disappointment for the Texans as they thought he would be a factor in the passing game, but they were wrong.  He played in 14 games (5 starts) and caught 13 passes for 125 yards (9.6 avg) and didn’t catch a TD pass all season.  For his career, Putzier has played in 53 games (15 starts) and he’s caught 90 passes for 1,212 yards (13.5 avg) with 2 TD grabs.

Mark Bruener was mostly used as a blocker in the running game.  He played in 15 games (4 starts) and he caught only 9 passes for 62 yards (6.9 avg) with 2 TD catches.  For his career, Bruener has played in 172 games (138 starts) and he’s caught 152 passes for 1,333 yards (8.8 avg) with 18 TD catches.
