Cornerback DeMarcus Faggins and LB Kailee Wong have both been activated off of the PUP list. Look for both of them to get alot of playing time starting this week. The defense can sure use the help.

The Jaguars should pretty much be able to do whatever they want on offense against a Texans defense that allows 145.8 yards rushing per game and 273.0 yards passing per game. Look for the Jags to come out running with their two-headed running back. Fred Taylor will beat them up (367 yards rushing) and then Maurice Jones-Drew will run around them (177 yards rushing). Look for Leftwich to start throwing the ball after they establish a running game, spreading the ball around to Reggie Williams, George Wrighster, Matt Jones and Ernest Wilford. Leftwich also likes to throw to his backs once in awhile.
The Texans must be able to run the ball, or this game will get ugly soon. Ron Dayne needs to step up (167 yards rushing, 2.9 ypc) or Wali Lundy or Samkon Gado will take his job. If the Texans can’t run the ball against the stout run defense of the Jags (92.2 yards rushing per game, 3.5 ypc), then David Carr will have to throw against one of the best secondaries in the NFL. Carr does have two great receivers in Andre Johnson (39 rec, 485 yards) and Eric Moulds (22 rec, 274 yards), but he will have to be careful as the Jags already have 9 interceptions this season. Carr must always know where CB Rashean Mathis is because he is a big-time playmaker that already has 4 interceptions of his own.
This looks like a complete mis-match. All Coach Kubiak can hope for is that Coach Del Rio will show him some mercy in the second half.
The Texans have signed defensive tackle Lional Dalton to try to help with the run defense. The Texans also released Phillip Buchanon.
Rookie linebacker Demeco Ryans has been fantastic so far for the Texans. The second round pick already has 47 tackles and 1.5 sacks and has been the leader of the defense so far this season! DE Mario Williams is off to a slow start to his NFL career. Williams has talent, but only 16 tackles and 1.5 sacks so far this season. The Texans defense has been awful so far this season, but these two guys look like building blocks for the future.
The Texans were actually winning this game at halftime 6-3! The Cowboys came out in the second half like a hungry bear, putting up 31 straight points on the Texans! David Carr had his worst game of the season, completing 15 of 27 passes for 128 yards and 2 interceptions. Sage Rosenfels came in during garbage time and completed 8 of 11 passes for 70 yards. The Texans couldn’t get anything going running the ball. Ron Dayne carried the ball 10 times for 14 yards (1.4 ypc). Samkon Gado carried the ball 4 times for 5 yards (1.3 ypc) and caught 4 passes for 26 yards. Andre Johnson caught 9 passes for 75 yards and Eric Moulds caught 4 passes for 44 yards.
It seemed as if only two Texans decided to play defense the whole game. FS CC Brown had 9 tackles and a sack. LB Demeco Ryans had 8 tackles and a sack. The Cowboys pulverized the Texans on the ground, carrying the ball 37 times for 170 yards (4.6 ypc). The Cowboys completed 19 of 30 passes for 184 net yards thru the air.
The Texans have alot of work to do.
