Colts destroy Texans 43-24
It was the same old story in the dome in Indianapolis for the Texans…..another beat-down! David Carr put up some staggering numbers in defeat yesterday, completing 22 of 26 passes (84.6%) for 219 yards and 3 TDs. The Texans had a hard time running the ball against the Colts. Ron Dayne had 11 carries for 37 yards (3.4 ypc) and Wali Lundy had 6 carries for 25 yards (4.3 ypc). Eric Moulds caught 4 passes for 59 yards (14.8 avg), Andre Johnson caught 4 passes for 56 yards (14.0 avg) and a TD. Alot of Carr’s passes were of the dump-off variety to TE Owen Daniels who caught 4 passes for 45 yards (11.3 avg) and a TD. FB Jameel Cook caught 5 passes for 34 yards (6.8 avg).
The Texans defense was absolutely pathetic! The Colts ran the ball 35 times for 125 yards (3.6 ypc). The Texans pass defense was torched by the Colts. The Colts completed 26 of 38 passes (68.4%) for 390 net yards thru the air.
The Texans still look like an expansion team.
